EU-CONEXUS opens up opportunities for its 9 partner Universities to collaborate and create the University of the Future since 2019

Governance

Since 2019, the EU-CONEXUS Alliance has established a structured governance model that mirrors the classic university system, ensuring effective collaboration and strategic decision-making across its member institutions

At the governance level, the highest decision-making bodies of each university are engaged, including Rectors and Vice-Rectors for Academic Affairs, Research, and Innovation. They are part of Governing Board (GB), Academic Council (AC), and Research Council (RC) to ensure strategic leadership and academic excellence

Additionally, mandated student representatives are involved in the decision-making processes through a Student Board.

The External Advisory Board includes top experts who provide guidance to the Governing Board members on the development of the Alliance.

At the implementation level, the Alliance is coordinated by Alliance coordination team distributed across partner institutions, addressing transversal issues essential for its development.

Each university appoints an institutional coordinator responsible for overseeing their institutionโ€™s participation and ensuring the effective execution of project activities. These nine institutional coordinators collectively form the Management Board (MB).

The Presidents and Vice-Presidents of the Governing and Student Boards, along with the Chairs of the Academic and Research Councils and the Management Board, form the Executive Council to address tansversal issues.

Additionally, each project is supported by dedicated experts or teams leading Work Package (WP) activities. All experts collaborate within the Work Package Leadersโ€™ Group (WPLG), managed by a project coordinator.
