As every year, the students of the 𝗘𝗨-𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗨𝗦 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 had a field trip to the Institute for Research in Environment and Marine Science (@imedmar_ucv ) in Calpe. 🌊

This year, a total of 31 students from the 3rd cohort of the joint Master’s programme took part in the two practical sessions offered:

🧪 “The oceans as the last frontier of biodiversity”
🔍 “Bioprospecting strategies”

with the collection of marine samples.

Both sessions were included in the course Marine Biodiversity for 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀, thus continuing to broaden their knowledge of the enormous possibilities offered by the marine environment. 🌊📚 #europeanuniversities #EUCONEXUS #marinescience #internationalstudents #master #masterstudy #marinebiotechnology

Did you know that you can participate in collaborative research projects within the #EU-CONEXUS alliance?

Bachelor student Vassilis Kanellopoulos from the @agricultural_university_athens , for example, visited the University of Rostock for a two-week onsite training as part of the EU-CONEXUS Student Research Hub.

His training focused on the topic “Long-term effect of phosphorus management on soil fertility and soil P pools”, which was mentored by Prof. Dr. Bettina Eichler-Löbermann and doctoral candidate Yue Hu at the University of Rostock. The training program included laboratory work such as the measurement of soil and plant phosphorus content, literature search and management, data analysis and visualization as well as scientific writing and presentation.

Part of the Student Research Hub, the two-month research projects are designed to foster collaboration between mentors and undergraduate or post-graduate masters students of EU-CONEXUS universities in the field of research. SRH teams work together on specific research tasks in a dynamic setting (physical, remote and/or blended).

Join us for online workshops on effective learning outcomes. Workshops are organized by ODSO in collaboration with the University Centre Stjepan Maticevic at the @university.of.zadar , led by Prof. Slaven Zjalić, PhD.

Workshop structure:

Theoretical Insights: Learn the foundations of writing effective learning outcomes. 📚

Practical Experience: Engage in small group work and discussions for hands-on learning. 🤝
