Our colleagues from Universitatea Tehnica de Constructii Bucuresti - UTCB were delighted to introduce the pupils and students visiting them during their trademark event - ConstructFEST, the largest European construction fair - to the professional and international development opportunities they can access at @utcbro !

In two special sessions, they learned valuable information about:
✔️ #EUCONEXUS
✔️ Erasmus+ mobilities
✔️ CCOC - UTCB Career Counseling and Guidance Center
✔️ French Lectorate

At this year’s edition, the EU-CONEXUS Career Guidance and Counseling Center organized online “Meet International Companies at ConstructFEST”, where 20 students from 3 universities participated, and EU-CONEXUS Student Ambassadors in UTCB interacted at the Alliance stand with the 1,500 pupils who attended the Educational Fair, an activity under the auspices of the EU-CONEXUS University to School Program and ConstructFEST.

Also, the Open Days for All/Sport Handicap Inclusive Experience event was organized with the aim of supporting the participation and access of students with disabilities to the educational process and of emphasizing the values of inclusion and acceptance of diversity in the academic and professional environment.

Through interactive activities, sports and visits to the stands of the participating companies, students from 6 EU-CONEXUS partner universities and students with disabilities from two high schools were encouraged to collaborate despite their differences, thus strengthening a more open and inclusive educational, professional environment.

Every year this contest boosts the cooperation among local EU-CONEXUS universities and partner schools.

The 4th edition of our contest continued to shed a light on the crucial importance our coastal areas play for the balance of the coastal ecosystem. As they have long been considered ideal locations for human settlements, the increasing demand for natural resources and services has led to significant environmental challenges. This is why it is crucial that we take the necessary steps to protect these fragile ecosystems and mitigate the impacts of climate change to ensure the long-term sustainability of our coastal communities.

Therefore, we challenged pupils aged 12-15 to raise awareness about #sustainability, #circulareconomy, green and technologically #intelligentenvironments, and #smartcities and pupils aged 15-18 to think critically and creatively about #sustainabledevelopment, circular economy, and smart city technologies.

The EU-CONEXUS Student Research Hubs (SRH) are 𝟮-𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝘀 designed to foster collaboration between:

🔸 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 (academic and/or research staff Level R3 and R4),
🔸 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 (PhD students and researchers Level R1 and R2), and
🔸 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 of EU-CONEXUS universities in the field of research.

SRH teams work together on specific research tasks in a dynamic setting (𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹, 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱/𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱). Specifically, if an SRH is provided by the students‘ host university, on-site participation is expected; in other cases, attendance will be remote.

𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗔:

✅ Current 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 and 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 from the EU-CONEXUS universities.

✅ Strong 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 (B2 or higher).

💃 Last week @setuireland celebrated the #arts and #humanities at the Sustainability in the Arts festival. This cross-campus collaboration celebrates creativity and aims to answer the Sustainable Development Goals through innovation and artistry.

🤩 The week of creativity culminated in the EU-CONEXUS Dance Project being hosted at #SETU. Dancer and choreographer @jennifermacavinta joined an enthusiast group of staff and students at the @setu_arena_

🌊 The movement phrase inspired by Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability was beautifully adapted and performed by the group. A big thank you to Jennifer and the entire group of performers who embraced this opportunity. The baton is now passed to @university.of.zadar and we look forward to seeing the project progress.

We were also delighted to host colleagues from @univlarochelle who immersed themselves fully in the activities at #SETU. We look forward to further collaborations through #EUCONEXUS
