For one more year EU-CONEXUS and Agricultural University of Athens team were present in the International Event ‘Aquaculture Europe 2022’, 27-30 September 2022, organized in Rimini, Italy. Main themes of the event were the challenges that Aquaculture is facing linked to solutions to develop a sustainable, responsible, productive and climate neutral European aquaculture sector. More topics to discuss were food production, food security, biofuel, clean energy and ecosystem services.

Under a big audience and several parts of activities like industry forum, student sessions, satellite workshops, EU-CONEXUS was in the center of knowledge, innovation and game changer projects to share widely our achievements. EU-CONEXUS poster submitted successfully and the e-poster presentation took place during the event. The aim was to send a clear message regarding our European University and its actions and achievements from the joint educational offers in Bachelor level, ‘Minor in Coastal Development and Sustainable Maritime Tourism’’ and the ‘’Minor in Blue Economy and Growth’’, our joint Master ‘Marine Biotechnology’, to the Student Contest ‘Think Smart, Create Green’, the 1^st Physical Research Workshop, the Research Portal, the European Maritime Day, the PhD Summer School and more. Our challenge-based and interdisciplinary approach from education to research & innovation, link with ecosystems and activities related to Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability – SmUCS foster our collective respond to global challenges.
