EU-CONEXUS Sport Games (Basketball Team Scores)
The EU-CONEXUS basketball teams played against 2 countries: Croatia and Slovenia. There were 2 Croatian universities that participated: University of Zadar and University of Split. Participants from Slovenia were from University of Maribor.
The male EU-CONEXUS basketball team first played against the University of Split and lost the match. Later, the same team played against the University of Maribor, and also lost by a close margin, and thus earned 3rd place in the tournament.
The female EU-CONEXUS basketball team first played against the University of Split and won the match. Later, they faced off against the University of Zadar, and despite the initial success, they lost that match in the intense final moments of the competition. In the end, they earned 2nd place in the tournament.
The competition itself was quite the spectacle! I felt that all the teams really put a lot of effort into the tournament, and the scores speak for themselves. It was especially amazing to see how students from different universities could join forces and play together for a common goal of winning and having fun in the process. It really shows what international cooperation and sportsmanship can achieve. Besides the match, I managed to personally meet all the participants of the EU-CONEXUS teams, and even though the competition itself lasted for only two days, those days were filled with many events and memories that I will hardly forget. Definitely looking forward to future events from EU-CONEXUS!
