Campus life

EU‐CONEXUS is dedicated to creating a strong and dynamic campus identity. As such, implemented activities aim to develop a sense of affiliation to EU-CONEXUS among the students and staff of partner institutions. Such activities also aim to further develop and enhance the perception of EU-CONEXUS as an advocate of European identity and culture in local, national, and international communities.

EU-CONEXUS Festival

For this 2023 edition, EU-CONEXUS Festival is joining the “Festival les étudiants à l’affiche” (Students on the Spotlight Festival). Each year since 2000, this 2-week event offers La Rochelle Université students the opportunity to express themselves, perform and showcase their art in different ways and places. This year, EU-CONEXUS students will enjoy the same opportunity attending creative workshops, producing, exhibiting, performing their vision of Smart Urban Costal Sustainability, of Europe, and of the world.

Dance, photography, theater, one-woman show, scientific culture, music, paintings, sports… it is all on the menu!

Other activities under development and soon to be available:

Buddy system

The buddy system is essential to student life and will soon help students with mobility. It will also offer broader services such as language tandems or distance buddy tutors to students in virtual mobility or who still need to be in mobility.

EU‐CONEXUS alumni network

An EU-CONEXUS alumni network will be introduced to improve the visibility of EU‐CONEXUS and its connections with society at large.

Summer and winter schools

The EU-CONEXUS summer and winter schools offer mobility actions to students  of  partner  institutions who  may not be  directly  involved  in  joint  study programmes. It also helps students who  could  not  participate in  student  mobility  during  the academic year and students from other European or international universities.

The summer/winter school programmes allow for major staff mobility and better integration of partner institutions, helping to improve relations with the local community. These schools will cover all aspects of smart urban coastal area topics, including the presentation of local community cultures, traditions, and languages, as well as the countries of partner institutions and Europe as a whole.
