The first-ever joint research laboratory in digital agriculture between Greece and China at the European level
On Wednesday, July 5, 2023, the first agreement at the European level to establish a Joint Research Laboratory in digital agriculture between Greece and China was signed at the Agricultural University of Athens, member of EU-CONEXUS, in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture of the People’s Republic of China Tang Renjian, the Rector of ShanDong University, Hu Jian Bo and other representatives of the Ministry and the University.
At the event, the creation of a joint research laboratory on agri-food issues between Greece and China was announced and a relevant memorandum of understanding was signed.
This agreement holds tremendous potential for the European University of Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability, as it paves the way for a transformative journey towards global collaboration and academic excellence. By nurturing this partnership, valuable knowledge sharing, cultural enrichment, and the formation of academic collaborations will be facilitated. Moreover, the establishment of the Joint Research Laboratory will provide EU-CONEXUS with state-of-the-art research facilities and resources that can be integrated into the university’s educational programs. Additionally, the joint research laboratory will be able to serve as a platform for conducting research activities focused on Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability and Smart Agriculture. Last but not least, it will offer EU-CONEXUS students and graduates a wider range of career prospects to explore.
