EU-CONEXUS RESEARCH FOR SOCIETY project awarded for Horizon 2020 funding
EU-CONEXUS RESEARCH FOR SOCIETY project has been selected for HORIZON 2020 funding and will receive a grant of EUR 2,000,000.
EU-CONEXUS RESEARCH FOR SOCIETY aims at institutional transformation at all partner universities for creating a multidisciplinary, challenge-driven, internationally competitive research and innovation structure.
Overall objective is creating a new approach for interdisciplinary research in line with European and global initiatives for sustainable development, such as the Green Deal, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development.
In EU-CONEXUS RESEARCH FOR SOCIETY the comparisons of national research approaches will help identifying barriers for elaborating joint, collaborative European research programmes and finding solutions that facilitate research collaborations.
Targeted funding will help ensure that the best ideas reach the market faster and would be adopted as quickly as possible in our cities, hospitals, factories, shops and homes.
The project partners will have to implement their obligations within a period of 3 years.
