The “Students Civic Engagement European project” (SCEE) project aims to inform the student community about the possibilities and mechanisms of engagement and to support them in their approach, with the aim of setting up a Statute European Committed Student (S3E).

The three main phases of this project are

· raising awareness of commitment,
· training students in engagement and
· helping them identify and develop skills acquired in the context of these activities.

The objective is to perpetuate the systems created and tested and to offer additional tools to support students in enhancing their commitment through a European platform and the creation of a European Student Status Committed (S3E).

During the first phase of the project, “Debathons” involving students from partner universities are organized; the objective is to discuss social issues in a public space, in English.

THE WHITE PAPER ON CIVIC ENGAGEMENT IN FUTURE EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES CAMPUSES

This white paper aims to explore the concept of civic engagement and its significance within the European education system. It deals with the various aspects of civic engagement and its implications for future European university campuses, aiming to provide insights and recommendations for fostering active citizenship and democratic participation within the education system.

THE STUDENT ENGAGEMENT PLATFORM

A digital platform, which will be available in English and French, will allow each student to highlight the key skills acquired during their commitment, and to take a step back from their experience, in order to value it in their professional project.

THE EUROPEAN STATUS OF COMMITTED STUDENT (S3E)

The European partners are willing to create a European engaged student status. The objective is to inform the student community about the existing commitment mechanisms and to support them in their approach. This would allow engaged students either to substitute their internship with their engagement, or to be supported individually or to benefit from flexible hours. It aims to highlight a spirit of common civic engagement and to recognize the status of committed student at an European level.
