In an era of rapid urbanisation and unprecedented global challenges, the concept of smart and sustainable cities has emerged as a bright and hopeful spot. Cities are not just centres of commerce and culture; they are at the forefront of tackling some of humanity’s most pressing problems. This course will provide learners with a foundational understanding of key concepts and principles related to urban sustainability and smart city technologies.
Learning Outcomes:
- Demonstrate the core principles of sustainable and smart cities.
- Discuss the role of energy efficiency and RES in smart cities, analyze sustainable transportation options, explore and create smart mobility solutions, examine and generate green infrastructure solutions.
