🔬 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗘𝗨-𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗨𝗦 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗛𝘂𝗯 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗔𝗩𝗔𝗜𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘❗

In the Student Research Hub (SRH), two-month research projects are designed to foster collaboration between:

🔸 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 (academic and/or research staff Level R3 and R4),
🔸 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 (PhD students and researchers Level R1 and R2), and
🔸 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 of EU-CONEXUS universities in the field of research.

SRH teams work together on specific research tasks in a dynamic setting (𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹, 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱/𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱). Specifically, if an SRH is provided by the students‘ host university, on-site participation is expected; in other cases, attendance will be remote.

𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗜𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗖𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗔:
✅ Current 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 and 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 from the EU-CONEXUS universities.
✅ Strong 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 (B2 or higher).

@unirostock was delighted to welcome #EUCONEXUS colleagues from across Europe for an in-person meeting of the team working on all opportunities for #PhD students. The two-day meeting took place in the City of Rostock during the same time as the 2024 PhD Summer School.

The overarching theme of the meeting was how to better support researchers of the European University alliance and encourage cooperation to find solutions to many of the challenges included under the topic of Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability. The agenda included

➡ the PhD Summer School at La Rochelle University in 2025,

➡ the future of cotutelles and potential double degrees for PhDs,

➡ the upcoming EENVIRO Research Conference hosted by the UTCB from 29-31 October 2024,

➡ PhD Week & PhD Open Courses and

➡ further actions to boost doctoral research and cooperation.

@utcbro Summer University, 2nd edition:

✔️ A total of 63 Romanian pupils showed up to learn about the international opportunities we provide in the Climate Fresk Workshop powered by @climato.sfera !

🧐💡🌎 This event was meant to familiarise pupils from the upper cycle of high school with the university environment and offer the experience of student life at UTCB to support their decision-making process in terms of further education once they graduate high school.

The #ClimateFresk Workshop took place under the auspices of the EU-CONEXUS University to School Programme, coordinated at the Alliance level by UTCB. This year, our ClimatoSfera instructors held a training with the EU-CONEXUS School Committee Representatives to empower them to become facilitators for the pupils across the Alliance.

🍃 Today the attendees of UTCB Summer University have a better understanding of the challenges we are facing. Furthermore, taking a step back to observe the systemic nature of those challenges also made them more aware of the links between the causes and effects of climate change.

We hope to see as many pupils as possible from this EU-CONEXUS Community event this autumn!
