Bringing together doctoral researchers from across the EU-CONEXUS European University Alliance, this year’s Summer School focused on “AI for Impact: From Smart Tools to Ethical Decision-Making.” Throughout the week, our PhD students had the opportunity to exchange ideas, collaborate in international and interdisciplinary teams, and explore how artificial intelligence can support research across diverse scientific fields.
For many of them, this was their first mobility experience within the EU-CONEXUS Alliance. They began the week a little shy and unsure of what to expect, but finished it full of smiles, new friendships, and a broader perspective on life as an early-career researcher.
The Summer School was an excellent opportunity to strengthen the EU-CONEXUS Enables PhD community, build lasting connections with fellow researchers from across the Alliance, and generate fresh ideas for future research. Beyond the academic programme, the event highlighted the importance of international collaboration and interdisciplinary approaches in addressing complex societal challenges.
It is excited to see these new connections grow into future research initiatives, collaborations, and joint projects, and we look forward to following our PhD students as they continue their research journeys within the EU-CONEXUS community.
