Participation of EU-CONEXUS in the Forum of Universities for the Future of Europe
EU‐CONEXUS participated on January 25-26, 2022 in the Forum of Universities for the Future of Europe organized by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation in the framework of the French Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The Forum provided an opportunity for reflection on the role of universities in the Europe of the future through dialogue involving national authorities, the European Commission, the European stakeholders in the higher education sector, including European Universities alliances. Τhis event was an incubator for new proposals for shaping the university of tomorrow, in particular based on the feedbacks from the 41 alliances set up under the “European Universities” initiative.
Sophie Mavrikou Assistant Professor of the Agricultural University of Athens, represented EU-CONEXUS at the virtual workshop entitled “international cooperation” where the main strategic targets of the Alliance were presented regarding its expansion impact, presence and activities to achieve a global status and increase international research cooperation easier.
The Executive Director of EU-CONEXUS, Isabella Baer-Eiselt, as well as the Chair of the Governing Board, Jean-Marc Ogier, Rector of La Rochelle Université had also a special role during the Forum.
Once again, EU-CONEXUS was actively present in the transformation of higher education in European level.
