EU-CONEXUS PhD Summer School, collaboration and networking [GALLERY]

During the last week of July, in Zadar, Croatia, EU-CONEXUS and its partner, University of Zadar, provided a special training for PhD students about Professional and Scientific Communication and Networking in Multidisciplinary Environment, into the format of a PhD Summer School. The training was successfully held gathering about 50 people, students and staff, in person.

Zadar is a strong maritime, tourist, harbour and industrial city in the centre of the Croatian Adriatic. The university of Zadar founded on 1396, with about 6.000 students enrolled in bachelor, master and doctoral study programmes.

The city is full of life! The weather is awesome, a wonderful city for travelling and studying. People is very polite and welcoming, they give you a hand without a doubt. We were well-welcomed with open arms and broad smiles.’

For one week the students participated in seminars, given by experts, workshops to expertise in practice. The first day, Monday, they had an interdisciplinary approach in research with practical examples for mind mapping. On Tuesday and Wednesday, some project proposals were presented by the participants, students learnt about defining multidisciplinary projects proposals according to the call rules and the EU policies. On Thursday, training about scientific communication and tools, resources and tips were given to the students, so they can be prepared to pitch their projects and practice on Friday, last day.

The bond of EU-CONEXUS is rising, opening opportunities to connect, to collaborate and to build an international network. After a tough year, this event feed our spirit for reaching EU-CONEXUS goals of higher mobility of students and academic personnel and  to integrate multidisciplinary, multilingual and innovative European University programmes.
