Today we are proud to highlight the journey of Ale Today we are proud to highlight the journey of Alexandre Camino, the first doctoral candidate to engage in a co-tutelle within the entire EU-CONEXUS Alliance. Through joint supervision between @univlarochelle 🇫🇷 and @unirostock , he has opened a new chapter in how we design and deliver doctoral education across Europe. This is a functional example of institutional integration. By aligning supervision and academic standards across borders, we have created a degree framework that is fully embedded within the European Research Area. Alexandre’s research in Public Management addresses critical sustainability challenges through a comparative study of municipal waste management across France, Germany, and Ireland. His work directly contributes to our core mission of advancing Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability #SmUCS through applied, transnational research. 🤝 While structural integration is a major achievement, the true value lies in the collaboration it fosters. In Alexandre’s words: “A cotutelle is a fantastic opportunity... but beyond the academic benefits, it’s about connecting people.
