The use of innovative cold plasma and soil conditioners in a field experiment – effects on yield and soil quality
This research project is designed for students interested in agronomy, environmental science, and soil management. This hands-on placement focuses on the effects of various treatments on nutrient availability and microbial activity in soil within a field experiment. Through a combination of laboratory work and interactive sessions, participants will gain a solid foundational understanding of the principles of soil science, with particular emphasis on nutrient availability and microbial activity.
General learning outcomes
- Understanding the effects of different treatment strategies on yield and soil quality
- Improved skills in literature searching and reference management
- Improved skills in data analysis and data visualisation
- Understanding and mastery of laboratory approaches for measuring soil nutrient content
- Improved scientific writing and presentation skills
