✨ Spotlight on Student Identity at @theeaie 2025 ✨ Spotlight on Student Identity at @theeaie 2025 ✨
Yesterday, Neringa Narbutiene, Institutional Coordinator at @universidadcatolicavalencia , joined Hanna Leonhard (@ureka_eu ) and Giovanni Andriolo (@universitasmontium ) to co-host the World Café session “Co-creating a shared student identity within EUI alliances” at the @theeaie Annual Conference in Gothenburg.

Together, they explored how students across European University alliances can develop a genuine sense of belonging and proudly identify with their networks.

They also presented the Student Identity Building Blocks Canvas, a methodology created within the EU-CONEXUS #IamSTUDENT project to help alliances strengthen student engagement.

Thank you to everyone who joined the discussion and shared their experience of building a shared European student identity.

⛵️ Setting sail for science! Today, ten stude ⛵️ Setting sail for science!

Today, ten students from Rostock (Germany) and Klaipėda (Lithuania) set off aboard the Universitas for an exciting Baltic Sea journey. Over the next days, they will sail via Bornholm and Grönhögen to Klaipėda, where an international conference and exchange await. On 24 September, the crew will return to Rostock. ⚓️

On board, the students are not just sailors - they are citizen scientists. Using a compact sensor unit, they will measure temperature, oxygen levels, and other environmental parameters, contributing to long-term Baltic Sea research alongside IOW – Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research.🔬🌊

With moderate winds and calm seas forecasted, the first days promise perfect conditions to combine teamwork, adventure, and hands-on science. Local radio NDR was on site yesterday to learn about the project and report on the start of the journey

✨ Follow their journey in our Instagram stories over the next two weeks and see science in action at sea!

🌍✨This week, first-year students of the @eu_c 🌍✨This week, first-year students of the @eu_conexus ‘Joint Master in Marine Biotechnology’ enjoyed their Welcome Week in @universidadcatolicavalencia . A total of 33 students from all over the world met for the first time to embark on this exciting new challenge together.

🔬🎓 Their programme included exploring the campuses where they will attend classes, discovering the laboratories for their practical sessions, and taking part in workshops on multicultural awareness, support networks and self-care 🤝. They also had the chance to hear inspiring testimonials from former students of the master’s programme.

To round off the experience, integration activities brought them closer as a group 🤗 — from outdoor sessions to a morning at the beach playing volleyball and getting to know each other better 🏐🏖️.
