Microbial Additives in Aquaculture: Effects on the Lipid Metabolism of Gilthead Seabream

Microbial Additives in Aquaculture: Effects on the Lipid Metabolism of Gilthead Seabream

Microbial Additives in Aquaculture: Effects on the Lipid Metabolism of Gilthead Seabream

Microbial additives belong to the sustainable feed ingredients category and they have been shown to enhance fish health. Moreover, several studies have investigated the correlation between the impact of microbial additives and lipid metabolism.

During this Student Research Hub research project, we will explore the effects of 2 microbial additives on the lipid metabolism of the gilthead seabream, which is one of the most commercial fish species of the Mediterranean aquaculture

Glaciers are melting – and the world is watching. 🧊 But each winter, another part of the cryosphere quietly appears… and disappears again.

That’s seasonal snow, and if you ask the team behind the 3-year SNOWLIFE project, it’s hiding big discoveries, too.

New findings show that, in late winter, these temporary snow patches host entire ecosystems of microscopic life – including some species that possibly haven’t made it into official records yet.

What’s next for European university alliances? 🇪🇺 What’s next for European university alliances? 🇪🇺
On 14 April, leaders and coordinators from across Europe gathered at The Mix for the European Universities Coordinators Working Retreat — a key moment to shape the future of Erasmus+ beyond 2027.

🌍 Representing EU-CONEXUS, @fernandomgalan , Fernando Pedraza and @neringanarbutiene actively contributed to discussions tackling some of the most pressing challenges and opportunities for alliances.

💡 From rethinking funding models and boosting mobility, to strengthening international cooperation and reinforcing the role of alliances in Europe’s competitiveness and research landscape — the day was all about collaboration, impact and forward-thinking.

🤝 Because building the European Universities of the future starts with conversations like these.

🚀 Moving forward together.
