This Student Research Hub research project explores the application of sensing technologies in the detection of aquatic contaminants. It also provides insights to biosensor developments. 

General Learning outcomes

  • Research attitude responsibility for junior Researchers in Biotechnology. 
  • Addressing experimental tasks and assignments confidently and efficiently. 
  • Analysis and result evaluation skills specific to sensing technologies. 
  • Ability to work with advanced instrumentation. 
  • Interpreting multiple information sources. 
  • Writing and Oral skills with discipline-specific language and rules.

🔥 EU-CONEXUS made history: we hosted our very firs 🔥 EU-CONEXUS made history: we hosted our very first Online Escape Room! 🔐 For the first time, students from across the entire EU-CONEXUS alliance came together to take part in a 100% online escape room... and it was super cool! 😎 What did our participants have to solve? 🧩 As part of the Erasmus+ project IamStudent, teams faced a high-stakes challenge: “URBANIA: SYSTEM OVERRIDE”. An Artificial Intelligence system had gone rogue, and they had just 30 minutes to save the city. ⚠️🏙️ Did they make it? A race against the clock that tested their teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving skills – all while connecting with peers from across Europe! 🌍 And best of all, the voices of our students: 💬 “It was fun to connect with people from different countries.” 💬 “This activity encourages cooperation among all students.” #EUCONEXUS #IamStudent #OnlineEscapeRoom #StudentLife #europeanuniversities

🎓 Meet Benas Dumbrauskas, one of the new PhD resea 🎓 Meet Benas Dumbrauskas, one of the new PhD researchers joining the EU-CONEXUS Enables project! Benas, from Lithuania 🇱🇹, is pursuing a joint PhD between @klaipedauniversity and the @unirostock under the supervision of Prof. Paulius Rapalis and Prof. Stefan Lüdtke. With a strong background in marine engineering and sustainable propulsion, he is now working on the project “Development of a Digital Twin for a Ship’s Diesel Engine Operating on Alternative Fuels.” 🌊⚙️ His goal? Through a combination of drones, probes, and linked software, DROWAQ system is opening new opportunities for scientific research and environmental monitoring.
