Screening of novel bio-based recycling fertilizers to evaluate their effects on germination, nutrient uptake and biomass yield in selected crops
Join us for a focused 30-day research placement designed for students in agronomy, environmental science, and crop production. This hands-on programme explores novel bio-based recycling fertilisers and evaluates their effects on germination, nutrient uptake, and biomass yield in selected crops. Through greenhouse experiments and laboratory work, participants will test fertiliser performance, analyse plant samples, and gain essential skills in assessing sustainable fertilisation approaches for modern agriculture.
General learning outcomes
- Understanding the effects of novel bio-based recycling fertilisers on germination, nutrient uptake, and biomass yield in selected crops
- Improved skills in literature searching and reference management
- Improved skills in data analysis and data visualisation
- Understanding and mastery of laboratory approaches for measuring phosphorus content in plant and soil materials
- Improved scientific writing and presentation skills
