We are delighted to share that our EU-CONEXUS stud We are delighted to share that our EU-CONEXUS student, 𝗥𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗹, a second-year student in the 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 programme at EU-CONEXUS, has recently undertaken a mobility stay at @utcbro as part of her 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗔𝗥𝗜) project.

This mobility reflects her commitment to academic excellence and interdisciplinary training, within a master’s programme that offers strong marine biotechnology education and specialisations such as blue biomass, marine biorefinery, aquaculture biotechnology and innovative marine bio-products.

Rafaela’s mobility took place at the 𝗘𝗫-𝗔𝗤𝗨𝗔 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽, organised by the 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲-𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗫-𝗔𝗤𝗨𝗔 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁, under the banner ❞𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗹𝗴𝗮𝗲 𝗮𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗦𝗲𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻❞, held at the National Institute for Marine Research and Development “Grigore Antipa” in Constanţa on 30 October 2025.

🤝 The workshop brought together researchers, industry stakeholders and policymakers to foster synergies for the sustainable development of algae aquaculture in the Black Sea region — a key step towards building a collaborative ecosystem in blue biotechnology.

We are proud of Rafaela’s involvement in this international setting and of how academic mobility enables the bridging of research, education and real-world blue economy challenges.

Congratulations, Rafaela, for your courage, dedication and your contribution to the sustainable marine sector! 👏
