This Research Student Hub aims to give a practical hands-on experience in maintenance of microalgal culture collections, subculturing and scaling up cultures; monitoring cultures performance.

General learning outcomes

By the end of the Student Research Hub, students will be able to:

  • investigate and develop strategies for the production, extraction and analysis of bioactive molecules obtained from cultivated under controlled laboratory conditions.
  • work in team, manage time and adjust to results.

The event was organised by the Romanian National Agency for Community Programs in the Field of Education and Vocational Training at the Central Library of the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest. 🌍 Day 3 — the final day of the EU-CONEXUS Res 🌍 Day 3 — the final day of the EU-CONEXUS Research Conference 2025 — marked an inspiring finale to three days of transformative discussions on Urban Coastal Sustainability. 💶 The morning began with Round Table 5: Sustainable Economic Models, where experts from across Europe explored innovative approaches to building resilient, fair, and future-oriented economies. Speakers shared valuable insights into how sustainable business and research can drive systemic change. ☕🎓 A well-deserved coffee break set the stage for the Closing Ceremony, moderated by Dr José María Tormos Muñoz (UCV) and Dr Zvjezdan Penezic (UNIZD). The session concluded with an inspiring keynote by renowned economist Dr Stefano Zamagni (University of Bologna), who delivered a thought-provoking reflection on the moral and economic dimensions of sustainability — a truly fitting way to close the conference. 🏆 Afterwards, the Poster Awards celebrated outstanding research contributions from our alliance’s scholars. 🥘 The conference concluded with a warm farewell lunch, featuring an authentic tasting of Valencian paella — a perfect ending to days filled with collaboration and community spirit. ✨ Many thanks to everyone in @universidadcatolicavalencia who made this conference possible. On 21–22 October 2025, EU-CONEXUS joined the int On 21–22 October 2025, EU-CONEXUS joined the international @transform4europe Strategic Policy Conference on resilience at @vduni (Vytautas Magnus University) in Kaunas, Lithuania. The event brought together European leaders and experts to explore resilience from personal well-being to geopolitics and higher education’s role in society. 👏🤝 We were proud to showcase our good practices from the School Contest and the Stakeholder Academy, highlighting how we impact societies through education. Our poster presentation attracted great interest from participants and sparked engaging, conversations about the transformative role of universities in building resilient communities. 🤜🤛 It was inspiring to meet colleagues from other European University alliances, exchange ideas, and bring home fresh best practices we can adapt locally.
