Comparative stylistics of the German ballad

Students will become familiar with the stylistic, aesthetic, and expressive values of the German ballad. Through active reading and reflection, synthesising what has been read, and dynamic and engaged discussion and dialogue, students become reliable and highly informed experts in the subject matter, capable of independent thinking about literature.
