Comparative stylistics of the German ballad
Students will become familiar with the stylistic, aesthetic, and expressive values of the German ballad. Through active reading and reflection, synthesising what has been read, and dynamic and engaged discussion and dialogue, students become reliable and highly informed experts in the subject matter, capable of independent thinking about literature. They apply knowledge and understanding to their own practice; identify, elaborate, and develop solutions to problems and arguments in literary theory and history; formulate professional positions and problem solutions and defend them argumentatively; exchange information, ideas, problems, and solutions; collect, interpret, and critically evaluate relevant information and derive scientifically grounded judgements that take social, scientific, and ethical insights into account; and independently create, shape, and develop learning processes.
