Sound creation

Sound creation

Further to the call for sounds launched by La Rochelle Université in December 2022, 27 beautiful and inspiring sounds were received from EU-CONEXUS Alliance.

Students of La Rochelle Université participating in a Podcast Workshop supervised by Julia Suero, sound artist and Héloïse Martin, author, stage director and actress used some of them to make three sound creations.

The common red thread of the students’ research was : strangeness, the other, the journey and the search for oneself.

Two experimental sound creations were created:
– EU-CONEXUS radio
– Etrange été

A collective sound fiction “L’autre (é)moi”  was created.  The students stepped into the shoes of  a French student who goes on a study trip abroad. As time goes by and the student creates stronger bonds with this new country and the people she meets, she finds out that she is a stranger to herself. The journey starts to be an initiation and the story a metaphor for the search for identity.

All three sound creations were presented during EU-CONEXUS Festival 2023.

EU-CONEXUS had a strong presence at @frederick_uni EU-CONEXUS had a strong presence at @frederick_university Career Fair, where more than 45 companies showcased exciting career opportunities to students. 🚀

Beyond connecting with top employers and exploring potential career paths, students had the chance to attend inspiring talks by alumni and industry professionals, as well as hands-on workshops designed to strengthen their skills — from AI and CV building to essential soft skills.

Students also discovered more about EU-CONEXUS’ career platform, JobTeaser, and the opportunities it offers. To make things even more exciting, three lucky students who registered on the platform won amazing prizes through a draw! 🎉 Congratulations to the winners!

The next antiviral breakthrough might not come fro The next antiviral breakthrough might not come from a lab – but from the sea. 🌊 ❌

Research studying Baltic cyanobacteria has identified natural compounds that can interfere with how viruses enter human cells. 🦠🧫

Instead of targeting the virus itself, they target the process of infection.

It’s early research, but it raises an interesting question: are we only focusing on one side of the problem? 🧐
