🎉 Re-Connect Fest at @setuireland 🎉 Over the past 🎉 Re-Connect Fest at @setuireland 🎉 Over the past two days, Re-Connect Fest brought great energy to SETU’s Carlow and Wexford campuses! 🙌 The event gave students the chance to reconnect, explore the wide range of supports available, and even sign up for something new! In true Re-Connect style, the games day was a huge hit, giving students the perfect excuse to kick back, have some fun, and recharge between lectures 🎯⚽ Supported by the #IAmStudent project, the EU-CONEXUS team at SETU ran a lively and engaging information stand. 🌍 A successful first edition of the Microcredentia 🌍 A successful first edition of the Microcredentials Winter School at UCV 🎓 Last week, @universidadcatolicavalencia welcomed 60 students from the 9 universities of the EU-CONEXUS alliance for an intensive week of collaboration focused on building the coastal resilience of tomorrow. 🌱🌊 It wasn’t all lectures and seminars, though! As global warming escalates, heat waves are no lon As global warming escalates, heat waves are no longer described as exotic – even up north. 🥵 Along the Baltic Sea coast, warmer summers are causing serious health risks and highlighting the lack of cooling solutions in urban environments. 🧊 Using long-term observations and Copernicus Climate Change Service data, research by scientists at @klaipedauniversity takes a closer look at what is happening during the hottest periods of the year and why climate changes in coastal areas matter more than we think. ☕🔬 UCV launches their first UCV Late Meetings Last ☕🔬 UCV launches their first UCV Late Meetings Last week, the @universidadcatolicavalencia launched UCV Late Meetings, a new initiative from its Vice-Rectorate for Research. The project transformed one of its campus cafés into a hub for public engagement and scientific outreach 🗣️. The following researchers took part in this inaugural session: 📜 Catalina Martín, who shared how a passion for history drives her research. 🚶‍♂️🧠 Alonso Sánchez , who spoke about urban walkability and exercise as a treatment for Alzheimer’s disease. 🧬 Jesús Ignacio López, who discussed response mechanisms to the activation of endogenous retroviruses. 📱🔬 Miriam Martínez, who explained microRNAs as the cell’s “internal WhatsApp”.
