On 13 November 2025, the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) hosted an engaging information session titled “EU-CONEXUS: 1 European Alliance, 9 Universities, Countless Opportunities”, bringing students together to explore what it truly means to be part of a European university alliance.
The event welcomed students from undergraduate, master’s and PhD programmes, who had the chance to discover the wide range of opportunities offered through EU-CONEXUS โ from international experiences and academic collaboration to student engagement activities that connect young people across Europe.
Hearing It First-Hand: Students Sharing Their EU-CONEXUS Journeys
A highlight of the session was the strong focus on real student experiences. Student ambassadors shared inspiring personal stories from their participation in EU-CONEXUS activities, including mobility and networking experiences abroad. Their first-hand perspectives created a lively atmosphere and encouraged participants to ask questions, exchange ideas and imagine themselves taking part in future EU-CONEXUS initiatives.
Inspiring Student Engagement and European Connection
Beyond informing students, the event aimed to strengthen a sense of belonging to the wider EU-CONEXUS community. Through an open and welcoming discussion, attendees gained clearer insight into how EU-CONEXUS can support their academic pathway, broaden their horizons and connect them with peers from across Europe.
The event was organised as part of the IamStudent project, which supports student engagement and helps make EU-CONEXUS opportunities more accessible and visible within partner universities.
With enthusiasm, curiosity and active participation throughout the session, the event at AUA demonstrated once again how student voice and peer-to-peer connection can inspire the next generation to take their first step into Europe’s university alliance network.
