Sport in nature is a positive and uplifting activi Sport in nature is a positive and uplifting activity - everyone knows that. 🏃‍♀️ The problem is that, while this is technically available for everyone, not everyone is encouraged or empowered to do it. 💪 The GET UP Project, a collaborative European initiative led by the @universidadcatolicavalencia (UCV), is promoting social inclusion by using sport in natural environments to support people experiencing homelessness. This project, funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Sport 2025 call, highlights the importance of understanding and including vulnerable social groups in our communities. 🚴🏌️🤽‍♂️ By engaging in physical activities within nature, participants are invited to improve essential skills like teamwork and resilience, which are crucial for rebuilding confidence and self-esteem. By involving therapists, psychologists, and social sector professionals, this multidisciplinary project creates a supportive and positive environment that is essential for it. 🚴‍♀️ EU-CONEXUS ENABLES Hackathon in Bucharest: Cy 🚴‍♀️ EU-CONEXUS ENABLES Hackathon in Bucharest: Cycling mobility solutions in action! From 10–12 March 2026, the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest (@utcbro ) hosted the first EU-CONEXUS Enables hackathon, bringing together 44 students (11 teams) and 11 mentors to design solutions for cycling mobility in Bucharest’s Sector 2. Over three days, participants developed ideas for a “Living Map” of cycling mobility — an interactive tool combining infrastructure data and citizen feedback. 🏆 Winning teams: 🥇 Cyclick – interactive map integrating cyclist feedback and infrastructure data to support planning and decision-making. 🥈 Velo City – participatory platform connecting citizens and authorities to report issues and co-create solutions. 🥉 BucuRoata – community-driven tool to collect feedback and identify priority intervention areas. 💡 Top 5 teams have been invited to Bucharest’s Sector 2 administration to explore piloting their solutions in the city! This is the first in a series of EU-CONEXUS Enables hackathons across Europe, fostering innovation for more sustainable cities.
