🌿🌍 EU-CONEXUS Micro-credential Autumn School 2026: 🌿🌍 EU-CONEXUS Micro-credential Autumn School 2026: A Week of Learning and Collaboration at @frederick_university , Cyprus

More than 50 students from universities across the EU-CONEXUS Alliance came together at Frederick University, Cyprus, for a week of learning, collaboration, knowledge exchange — and, of course, getting to know one another.

Under the theme “Transferring Green Knowledge into Urban Action”, the EU-CONEXUS Micro-credential Autumn School gave students the opportunity to develop green competences, explore tools for translating research into action in healthcare, develop theoretical knowledge and skills for PV system installation and discover innovations for sustainable urban development

A big thank you to Frederick University’s academic staff for their valuable contribution and for guiding students throughout this journey of new knowledge: Dr Chrysanthi Kadji, Dr Evanthia Asimakopoulou, Dr Eleni Papoui, Dr Nicolas Christofides and Prof. Paris Fokaides and his team.

Initiatives like this go beyond the classroom. They give students the opportunity to learn from experts and from one another, exchange ideas with people from different backgrounds and countries, and build connections that can last long after the week comes to an end.

Following expert-led preparatory workshops, the 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗭𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗿, where 𝗥𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗰̌𝗸𝗶 𝗸𝗹𝘂𝗯❞𝗞𝗣𝗔 𝗭𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗿❞ introduced the students to underwater clean-ups, followed by an exciting diving experience. In 𝗗𝘂𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗻𝗶𝗸, Green Sea Safari led them in an island beach clean-up, while in 𝗔𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀, the students put their knowledge into practice during an island clean-up and discussed how we can make marine tourism more sustainable.

Throughout the project, students formed connections with one another through their shared love of the sea and their commitment to protecting it. 💙🌊
