A lesser-known fact is that, in Ireland, autumn-sown oats can yield up to three times the global average.

As Europe seeks to become more independent in protein production, farmers and scientists are raising a solid question: where does this oat productivity come from, and can we replicate it elsewhere?

When we speak of ozone pollution, the conversation When we speak of ozone pollution, the conversation usually focuses on humans. 🧍

But according to scientific research, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. 😱

Ozone is invisible but very powerful: it quietly alters plant chemistry, reshapes insect communities, and affects the soil systems that feed every living creature on land.

Impactful, right? 😉

The “problem” is that, unlike deforestation or oil spills, ozone works subtly.

New research shows how this invisible gas moves through ecosystems – from leaves to insects to the soil that sustains them. It also raises important questions for biodiversity strategies, land management, and environmental policy.

How can we manage the impact of ozone to create a better, greener future for our planet? 🤔
