Your Brain on Happiness: Chemistry, Connections, and the Pursuit of Well-Being

Is happiness just a chemical cocktail in the brain, an inherited trait, or the result of our thoughts and relationships? This lecture will take you on a journey through the neurological basis of happiness and subjective well-being. We will explore how dopamine, serotonin, endorphins and anandamide influence our moods, why some people are more stress-resistant and live longer and how smiling, laughing and everyday moments can reprogramme the brain for positivity. The lecture combines scientific findings with playful insights and shows how the brain and well-being are in constant dialogue – and how we can learn to translate this dialogue into a language of daily happiness.
