Too much animal source food diet changes your brain and behavior
Short description of what will be presented during the seminar:
This presentation outlines the results obtained to date in the project known as TMAO-Behavior, funded by EU-Conexus seed funding and the Catholic University of Valencia. We have evaluated the effect on the nervous system of a metabolite produced from a choline-rich diet: Trimethylamine N-oxide(TMAO). Experiments conducted in mice simulated a diet rich in animal products for two months. The effects observed so far involve changes in multiple systems: biochemical, immune, and behavioral.
