From 9–13 February 2026, the University of Zadar hosted the EU-CONEXUS Micro-credential Winter School on Culture, Heritage and Languages, welcoming 42 students from across the alliance.
During the five-day programme, participants earned 2 ECTS credits by selecting two out of four specialised micro-credentials within the fields of Culture, Literature and Heritage:
- Introduction to Film Literacy and Filmmaking
- Underwater Cultural Heritage as a Tourist Resource
- Visual Culture
- Environmental Literature
The Winter School combined academic learning with interdisciplinary exchange, offering students an opportunity to deepen their knowledge while collaborating in an international environment.
In addition to the academic programme, students experienced the cultural richness of Zadar through a guided city tour, exploring its historical landmarks and discovering its unique blend of heritage and contemporary Mediterranean life.
A Student Party held at the student club further enriched the experience, providing a relaxed setting for networking, cultural exchange, and socialising over music and dinner.
The Winter School once again demonstrated EU-CONEXUS’ commitment to innovative, flexible learning pathways and to strengthening cooperation across European coastal universities.
Imane Maridachahou, student at La Rochelle Université
“What I enjoyed most about this Winter School were the engaging classes, the social events, and the opportunity to meet new people.”
