On Thursday, 13 November, 2025, the Agricultural University of Athens hosted the EU-CONEXUS European University Alliance Information Day, which was held with great success and attracted more than 30 students.

The event opened with remarks by Professor Eleni Miliou, Vice-Rector for European University Affairs, Internationalisation and Student Welfare, who warmly welcomed the attendees and highlighted the importance of studentsโ€™ active engagement in the Allianceโ€™s activities. Subsequently, Ms Vera Charitou, EU-CONEXUS Institutional Coordinator, and Ms Olga Ntantali, EU-CONEXUS Student Affairs Officer, presented the interdisciplinary and flexible study programmes offered by EU-CONEXUS, including the Minor Programmes and Micro-credentials. The session also covered various international mobility opportunities, available scholarships and grants, funding for student-led projects, and initiatives that foster creativity and research engagement, such as innovation competitions, the Student Research Hub, and Open-Lab Hours. Furthermore, Allianceโ€™s cultural and artistic activities were also highlighted, along with the international internship and employment opportunities that significantly enhance studentsโ€™ professional prospects. In response to this information, the audience showed genuine interest in EU-CONEXUS opportunities and actively participated in the Q&A session.

Ms Christina Zantioti, EU-CONEXUS Student Engagement Officer, then presented IamStudent: Roadmap for Inter-Campus Student Life, highlighting initiatives that strengthen EU-CONEXUS student identity and promote meaningful student participation in joint European activities.

Finally, students who had previously taken part in EU-CONEXUS programmes shared their experiences with the attendees, offering examples of personal growth, international networking, and memorable moments that underscored the significant impact of the Alliance on their academic journey. In particular, students Ms Eleftheria Garoufali (Department of Crop Science), Ms Panagiota Mallouchou (Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition), and Mr Vasilis Sapounas (Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition) noted, through personal testimonies, the valuable experiences and substantial development they gained through their involvement in EU-CONEXUS.
