The EU-CONEXUS Team at South East Technological University (SETU) has been nominated for the university’s 2025 Professional, Managerial and Support Staff (PMSS) Excellence Award.

This distinction celebrates the team’s contributions to SETU’s mission and community, recognising work that fosters collaboration, communication, and cooperation among colleagues, university constituents, and external partners. More specifically, through their dedication and collaboration, the SETU EU-CONEXUS Team has strengthened the university’s international partnerships, supported mobility, research and education initiatives, and fostered meaningful student engagement.

Recognising Commitment and Collaboration

The PMSS Excellence Awards honour SETU staff who demonstrate excellence, innovation, and teamwork in their roles. Nominations are made by colleagues across the university to highlight individuals and teams whose work makes a significant impact on the core values of SETU. The EU-CONEXUS Team’s nomination reflects the importance of international collaboration, highlighting the value and positive impact of their achievements on the SETU community.

A Shared Achievement for the EU-CONEXUS Alliance

This recognition is not only a moment of pride for the team but also for the wider EU-CONEXUS community.

Siobhán Rudden, EU-CONEXUS Institutional Coordinator at SETU, said, “We were delighted to find out about the nomination for the PMSS staff on our team. The recognition is also a success for our full team, which includes academic staff and our ENABLES project colleagues. It makes us realise how much EU-CONEXUS has expanded at SETU. We are lucky to have many champions across the university to support us.”

Celebrating Dedication and Impact

This nomination also highlights how the Alliance’s collaborative spirit translates into tangible achievements within partner institutions. It is a true testament to the broader impact of the EU-CONEXUS partnership — fostering excellence through cooperation, mutual learning, and a shared commitment to smart urban coastal sustainability.
