A visible and collaborative presence

EU-CONEXUS participated alongside the EUPeace Alliance, representing the growing cooperation among European University alliances. Together, we engaged with higher education leaders, policymakers, and international partners from across Europe and beyond.
The event provided an exceptional platform to strengthen partnerships, exchange experiences, and explore new forms of academic collaboration.

The strong interest in EU-CONEXUS reaffirmed the alliance’s reputation as an active and forward-thinking contributor to the transformation of European higher education.

Contributing to the policy dialogue

EU-CONEXUS was also visible in the conference’s programme through contributions from its institutional coordinator Neringa Narbutienė (UCV), who shared insights on how European University alliances can build global partnerships and nurture a shared sense of belonging among students.
Her participation illustrated how EU-CONEXUS is not only implementing the European Universities Initiative but also helping to shape its direction — translating European policy priorities into tangible outcomes for institutions, students, and regions.

European alliances as engines of transformation

The European Universities Initiative is now one of the most ambitious frameworks under the European Education Area, bringing together over 500 universities across Europe to build integrated, transnational campuses.
Within this dynamic landscape, EU-CONEXUS stands out for its commitment to sustainability, coastal development, and innovation, aligning closely with the European Commission’s vision for a green, digital, and inclusive higher education system.

By promoting cooperation across borders and sectors, EU-CONEXUS contributes directly to Europe’s long-term competitiveness and social cohesion.

Looking ahead

Participation in EAIE 2025 reaffirmed EU-CONEXUS’s place among the most active and engaged alliances in Europe’s higher education policy arena.

We return inspired by new connections, shared values, and a shared mission — to turn Europe’s educational vision into lasting impact for students, institutions, and societies.
