Entry requirements:

Bachelor student in one of the 9 partner universities of EU-CONEXUS, providing a proof of English proficiency of at least B2 level (certificate or online test).

Assessment:

  • Ability to write in pinyin some basic Chinese characters with the HYPA tools
  • Introduction to what could one day become a common writing system inspired by the Chinese writing paradigm
  • Ability to pronounce the basic Chinese phonems required to pronounce them in Chinese Mandarin
  • Ability to repeat in Mandarin Chinese some examples of sentences in which those characters are used

🧠 Exploring mental health, resilience and happines 🧠 Exploring mental health, resilience and happiness in Zadar! From 5 to 9 October, the @university.of.zadar welcomed students and lecturers for the on-site week of the EU-CONEXUS Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) Mental Health, Resilience and Happiness. Through lectures, workshops and group activities, participants explored topics including emotional literacy, perfectionism and well-being, AI and mental health, brain health, resilience, and the science of happiness. Working in an international, multicultural setting, they shared perspectives and considered practical, evidence-informed ways to support well-being in everyday life. The programme continues online in the second half of October, bringing participants together to reflect on their learning and take their ideas further. 🎓 10,000 visitors and 100 employers came together 🎓 10,000 visitors and 100 employers came together to explore study and career opportunities in Klaipeda! @klaipedauniversity co-organised the career fair “Įdarbink ateitį 2026”, welcoming school pupils, students, graduates and jobseekers to meet employers and discover possible paths for their future. At the university’s stand, curiosity led to conversations. Humanoid robots, hydrogen fuel cell demonstrations and a virtual anatomy table gave visitors a glimpse of what they could study and how that knowledge could be applied. Researchers and students were there to share their experiences and answer questions. Across the fair, visitors could try equipment, learn about workplace culture and speak directly with potential employers. These encounters help young people make informed choices about their studies, placements and careers. As Klaipeda University Rector Prof. Dr Artūras Razbadauskas highlighted, conversations about careers should begin while young people are still at school. Helping them recognise opportunities in their region is an important step towards encouraging them to study, work and build their lives there. 🌊 For EU-CONEXUS, this connection between education, employment and regional development is central to building sustainable coastal communities. 🌱 From microalgae research to stronger connections 🌱 From microalgae research to stronger connections across EU-CONEXUS Enables project partners! 🔬 As part of her 12-month postdoctoral research within EU-CONEXUS ENABLES, Dr Katerina Koletti is working with the @agricultural_university_athens (AUA) and the @universidadcatolicavalencia (UCV) to explore the optimisation of tocopherol production from microalgae. Inobiostar, a spin-off of our partner @klaipedauniversity has launched a pilot production line for its oil spill clean-up material, InnoAerogel®. ♻️ Made from recycled paper waste, the material captures oil while Baltic Sea microorganisms help break down the pollutants. 🤝 Its development has included field trials with the @agricultural_university_athens through EU-CONEXUS, exploring how the technology performs in a different marine environment. Next stop: testing at the Port of Klaipeda.
