Description:
English Communication for Sustainable Development is an advanced level course to improve your English skills related to the thematics of Sustainable Development Goals (United Nations, 2015). High-standard material is taught through a blend of online-autonomous lessons and activities, accompanied by a tutor for support. In this course, the student will learn and practice dealing with authentic material and topics related to Sustainability; the course will help sharpen his/her edge in terms of the receptive (reading and listening) and productive (speaking and writing) skills.
Learning Outcomes:
- Find necessary linguistic resources relatedto Sustainability.
- Discuss issues related to Sustainability in written and spoken discourse.
Sustainable development goals:
- All 17 Sustainable Development Goals are covered during the course, so that the student is able to use specific vocabulary after the course.

Entry requirements:
Bachelor student in one of the 9 partner universities of EU-CONEXUS, providing a proof of English proficiency of at least B2 level (certificate or online test).

Continuous assessment: portfolio of activities, projects and tasks, evaluation of assignments, collected evidence from formal and informal learning, class observation and participation, online quizzes
HOST UNIVERSITY:
Delivered by a professor from the Catholic University of Valencia, Spain, physically at the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest, Romania
Stage of accreditation:
Internally validated by the UCV Governing Board.
