This week, @setuireland hosted a student gathering This week, @setuireland hosted a student gathering, bringing together students who have taken part in #EUCONEXUS activities throughout the academic year.

The fact that students willingly returned to campus during their summer holidays speaks volumes.

They shared their experiences of #EUCONEXUS, from online micro-credentials and student research hubs to open lab hours and mobility opportunities.

What stood out most was the energy and enthusiasm in the room. Students were also reminded of the importance of making the most of JobTeaser and the #EUCONEXUS career network.

Students from our #Carlow, #Waterford, and Wexford campuses were engaged, connected, and proud to be part of EUCONEXUS. We look forward to welcoming them back for another exciting academic term.

A group of students from EU-CONEXUS, as part of an award-winning student project, put on their walking boots to complete the Camino de Santiago from Valenรงa (Portugal) to Santiago de Compostela (Spain). But this was not just any sightseeing trip; it was a proper challenge.

Imagine the mix: people from completely different corners of Europe (with representation from all the countries in the alliance), sharing kilometres, blisters, laughter, and above all, an international experience that cannot be learned in a classroom. ๐ŸŒโœจ

@setuireland Culinary Arts students recently took @setuireland Culinary Arts students recently took part in a creative research challenge in collaboration with @university.of.zadar , exploring how culinary heritage can help shape more sustainable food systems. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ

Through cooking workshops, cultural site visits, and stakeholder engagement, students explored themes including sustainability, food systems, cultural heritage, the bioeconomy, and education for sustainable development. The experience supported student-led research into both traditional and contemporary approaches to sustainable food systems.

SETU student Ruby Walsh said:

โ€œThe Student Research Hub was a massive benefit to me. I got to experience the unique cuisine of Croatia while learning about the history behind it. I also had the opportunity to showcase our own traditional cuisine abroad and really bond with my classmates, which brought us much closer together.โ€
