🆕 We are officially launching the Call for PhD Courses provided by our partners!

Through these courses, we are aiming to expand the academic opportunities for our EU-CONEXUS PhD and postdoctoral students, including those of our associated partners, Odessa I.I.Mechnikov National University 🇺🇦 and University of Cape Coast - Ghana 🇬🇭.These courses will provide the necessary tools and skills to support researchers’ careers while helping them shape their broader expertise through #transferableskills.

Thinking about registering? Make sure you:
▶️ consult the Catalogue of the PhD Courses
▶️ check your availability to attend one or more courses
▶️ register at the latest one month before the initial start of the course.

1st course starts on 23rd of January 2024 and is powered by Universität Rostock - ‘Modern Lab Documentation with Electronic Lab Notebooks’. Deadline for registration is 23rd of December!

🔴 For the academic year 2023 - 2024 all courses will be offered online. All the PhD students will receive an EU-CONEXUS Certificate testifying the participation in the course. Additionally, some courses can be recognized through the mobility scheme and/or co-tutelle agreement. The participation is free of charge for all selected participants.

🤩🫶 Joined by a remarkable assembly of more than 150 attendees at the Research Conference on Aquatic and Coastal Ecosystems: Challenges and Opportunities towards Sustainable Development, hosted by the University of Rostock, we convened last week for the EU-CONEXUS wrap-up conference.

🆕 Calling all EU-CONEXUS PhD Students! We are officially launching PhD Grants!

PhD students from EU-CONEXUS partner universities with co-supervised thesis between two EU-CONEXUS partners can now apply for funding through the PhD Grants!
Who is eligible to apply?

▶️PhD students from EU-CONEXUS partner universities with co-supervised thesis between two EU-CONEXUS partners, once the bilateral Co-tutelle Agreement between the two universities has been signed
▶️The grant is a personal scholarship of 3000 Euro which is awarded to the PhD student in Co-tutelle and can be granted only once during the Co-tutelle
Through these grants, we aim to:
▶️ boost #collaboration between EU-CONEXUS partners allowing PhD students and supervisors to work jointly and across disciplines in PhD programs on SmUCS topics
▶️ increase the #internationalnetworking and skills of PhD students by providing PhD students with mobility opportunities to study, train, teach, and do research in another partner institutions
▶️ support the development of new joint, flexible and innovative PhD #cotutelleprograms
This call is ongoing until July 2026 and the maximum number of grants is 15.

The countdown is on for the #EUCONECUS Research Conference on "Aquatic and Coastal Ecosystems: Challenges and Opportunities towards Sustainable Development". It will take place in Rostock, Germany from November 16th to 17th.

🌴🏞️ Environmental Impact Assessment for Coastal Sustainability Week at UCV with about 15 students from the Minor Programme, thanks to the EU-CONEXUS project, Erasmus mobilities, and the resources of the Faculty of Veterinary and Experimental Sciences of the UCV.
For one week, students had an intensive programme full of activities focused in the technical tools for environmental management aimed to achieve sustainability in coastal areas.
